In its second year since its establishment, Turkish Airlines subsidiary AJet has significantly expanded both its route network and fleet. Having reached 100 destinations, the company aims to carry 25 million passengers by the end of 2026 and have 80 percent of its fleet composed of next-generation aircraft.
AJet Reaches 100 Destinations in Two Years
AJet, which operated its first flight on March 31, 2024, as a subsidiary of Turkish Airlines (THY), has significantly expanded its route network, fleet, and operational capacity over the past two years. Accelerating its growth across Europe, the Middle East, the Turkic Republics, and North Africa, the company now serves a total of 100 destinations as of 2026, including 39 domestic and 61 international destinations. AJet aims to carry 25 million passengers by the end of the year.
Rapid International Growth: 56 New Routes Across 19 Countries
Making international expansion a strategic priority, AJet has significantly expanded its route network by launching 56 new international routes across 19 countries within two years.
While the company primarily operates from Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen and Ankara Esenboğa airports, it continues to expand its international market presence by adding new destinations.
Bodrum Becomes a New Operational Base
During the 2026 summer season, AJet designated Milas-Bodrum Airport as an operational base and now operates direct domestic and international flights from Bodrum to a total of 22 destinations.
The company is also the airline serving the highest number of international destinations from Ankara Esenboğa Airport, offering flights to 32 destinations across 24 countries.
Russia Flight Network Continues to Expand
AJet continues to operate direct flights from Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen and Ankara Esenboğa airports to Moscow and St. Petersburg.
From Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport, the airline operates two daily round-trip flights to Moscow Vnukovo and St. Petersburg Pulkovo airports every day of the week.
On the Ankara Esenboğa–St. Petersburg route, flights operate five days a week, while the Ankara–Moscow route is served with daily round-trip flights throughout the week.
Reaches 42.5 Million Passengers, New Target Set at 25 Million
Since its establishment, AJet has carried a total of 42.5 million passengers, including 14.5 million on domestic routes and 28 million on international routes.
Having served more than 10 million passengers during the first six months of 2026, the company aims to carry a total of 25 million passengers by the end of the year.
Fleet Strengthened with Next-Generation Aircraft
Continuing its fleet modernization program, AJet has added 40 factory-new Boeing 737-8 MAX aircraft to its fleet since August 2025.
Currently operating a fleet of 89 aircraft, the company plans for approximately 80 percent of its fleet to consist of next-generation aircraft once the remaining deliveries scheduled for the year are completed.
On-Time Departure Performance Rises to 89 Percent
AJet has also achieved notable improvements in its operational performance. While its on-time departure rate stood at 75 percent in 2024, it increased to 80 percent in 2025 and during the first five months of 2026. As of June 2026, the rate reached 89 percent, surpassing the Eurocontrol average.
IATA Membership and International Achievements
Prioritizing flight safety, the company successfully completed the International Air Transport Association (IATA) Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) process before completing its second year of operations and became an IATA member.
AJet has also received the “Four-Star Low-Cost Airline” award from the Airline Passenger Experience Association (APEX) twice.
The company was also included in the “Turkey’s Happiest Workplaces 2026” list prepared by Happy Place to Work and received the “Outstanding Employee Experience Certificate and Award.”
In-Flight Internet and Domestic Seat Era Begins
As part of its cooperation with Türksat, AJet is preparing to introduce high-speed, uninterrupted in-flight internet service across its fleet.
The company has also started using domestically developed Miligram brand seats on the new Boeing 737-8 MAX aircraft delivered since August 2025. It was stated that this practice will continue on newly delivered aircraft.
