AJet, rapidly expanding its international flight network, has added Suleimaniyah, one of Iraq’s key cities, to its list of destinations. The Istanbul – Suleimaniyah route was launched with the first flight on December 2nd.
After Baghdad and Erbil, Suleimaniyah became AJet’s third route in Iraq. The first flight from Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport to Suleimaniyah took place on December 2, 2025. Following the 2-hour and 25-minute journey, the plane was greeted with a traditional water salute at Suleimaniyah. The welcoming ceremony at Suleimaniyah International Airport was attended by AJet’s and the airport’s senior management. Flights from Istanbul to Suleimaniyah will be operated four times a week on Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday.

AJet Flies to 60 Cities in 33 Countries
The Suleimaniyah route is the 19th international route opened by AJet in 2025. AJet, which is steadily growing in Europe, the Middle East, Central Asia, the Caucasus, and North Africa, operates flights to 60 destinations across 33 countries.
