Air Europa Renews Agreement with Lufthansa Technik

Air Europa has expanded its Total Component Support agreement with Lufthansa Technik for its Boeing 737 NG and MAX fleet. The renewed partnership will boost operational reliability.

Air Europa Expands Strategic Partnership with Lufthansa Technik for Boeing 737 Fleet

Air Europa, one of Europe’s leading airlines, has renewed and expanded its ongoing Total Component Support (TCS) agreement with Lufthansa Technik (LHT) to enhance fleet operational reliability and support future growth.

The updated agreement now covers not only the airline’s current Boeing 737 Next Generation (NG) aircraft but also the newly added Boeing 737 MAX fleet. With this, Air Europa has become the first and only Spanish airline to operate the MAX.

A Strategic Step to Strengthen the Fleet

Based in Mallorca/Llucmajor, Air Europa currently operates a fleet of 28 aircraft, consisting of 26 Boeing 737 NG and 2 Boeing 737 MAX models. With 18 additional 737 MAX aircraft scheduled for delivery by mid-2027, the airline’s fleet is set to expand significantly.

The extension of the TCS agreement ensures comprehensive component support for Air Europa’s growing fleet while maintaining sustainable operational standards across its entire network.

Global Support from Lufthansa Technik

Under the TCS programme, Air Europa will benefit from:

  • Component maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO)

  • Access to Lufthansa Technik’s global spare parts pool

  • Logistics and operational support

Two main stock locations in Madrid and Mallorca will provide fast access to critical parts, ensuring uninterrupted flight operations.

“A Strategic Partnership”

Pedro Macías Domínguez, Technical Director of Air Europa, highlighted the importance of the agreement:

“Our decision to expand the cooperation with Lufthansa Technik is based on the strong and reliable performance they have demonstrated over the years. Thanks to their quality, flexibility and engineering expertise, we will continue to operate at the highest standards. We believe this partnership will play a key role in maintaining Air Europa’s operational excellence.”
