Ahmet Bolat, Chairman of the Board of Turkish Airlines, stated that as the national flag carrier, THY is continuing its investments with determination in line with Türkiye’s goal of becoming a global aviation hub, announcing that new investment phases in the fields of maintenance, training and cargo will be implemented at the beginning of 2026.
In his post, Ahmet Bolat emphasised that while Türkiye is growing, Turkish Airlines is also continuing its “journey to the summit” as a natural part of this growth. Bolat stated that THY builds its sustainable growth on three core pillars: human resources, operational strength, and value-added investments that support all components of the ecosystem.
Maintenance, training and cargo investments inspected on site
Stating that they inspected on site the construction areas of maintenance, training, cargo and customer experience-focused investments implemented in line with this strategy, Bolat drew attention to the scope of the ongoing projects. Bolat noted that these investments would not be limited to supporting increasing operational capacity, but would also create significant value for human resources and the customer experience.

Ahmet Bolat stated that the ongoing projects will further enhance Turkish Airlines’ contribution to Türkiye, emphasising that great importance is attached to strengthening the corporate infrastructure. He noted that these investments will reinforce THY’s position in global competition and support its long-term growth vision.
Groundbreaking ceremonies to be held at the beginning of 2026
In his statement, Bolat announced that in the first days of 2026, groundbreaking ceremonies for the first phase of some investments and the second phases of certain projects will be held under a special programme. He stated that these steps are a concrete indication of an approach that plans the future from today with the awareness of being the national flag carrier.
