AerCap Holdings NV (NYSE: AER), one of the world’s leading aircraft leasing companies, shared its commercial activities and financial transactions for the full year and the fourth quarter of 2025 with the public. Throughout the year, the company executed a high volume of leasing, purchase and sale, financing and share buyback transactions.
Full-Year 2025 Performance
During 2025, AerCap signed a total of 371 lease agreements, while successfully completing 145 acquisitions and 189 sales transactions. In the same period, the company completed approximately USD 13.2 billion in financing agreements.
As part of the financial results, approximately USD 1.5 billion in cash insurance proceeds was also obtained. It was reported that a significant portion of this amount consisted of proceeds secured in line with the London Commercial Court’s decision dated 11 June 2025 regarding assets lost in Russia in 2022.
As part of its strategy to strengthen its capital structure, AerCap repurchased approximately 22.1 million shares at an average price of USD 109.92 per share. The total value of these transactions amounted to approximately USD 2.4 billion.
Fourth Quarter 2025 Transactions
In the fourth quarter of 2025, AerCap signed a total of 122 lease agreements, comprising 22 widebody aircraft, 42 narrowbody aircraft, 36 engines and 22 helicopters.
During the same period, the company acquired 30 aircraft for its owned aircraft portfolio, including 15 Airbus A320neo family aircraft, 7 Boeing 737 MAX, 1 Boeing 787-9 and 7 Embraer E195-E2 aircraft. In addition, a total of 40 acquisition transactions were completed with the purchase of 2 engines and 8 helicopters.
On the sales side, AerCap sold a total of 78 aircraft, including 62 aircraft from its owned portfolio and 23 aircraft from its managed portfolio. In addition, 14 engines and 2 helicopters were sold from the company’s engine portfolio.
In the fourth quarter, approximately USD 8.5 billion in financing transactions were also signed, while 3.5 million shares were repurchased at an average price of USD 127.63 per share. The total value of these transactions was announced as approximately USD 444 million.
AerCap also announced that it will distribute a quarterly cash dividend of USD 0.27 per share on its ordinary shares to its investors.
