ACG Strengthens Its 737 MAX Order Book
Boeing [NYSE: BA] and global aircraft leasing company Aviation Capital Group LLC (ACG) announced that ACG has placed a new order for a total of 50 Boeing 737 MAX aircraft. The agreement includes 25 737-8 and 25 737-10 variants.
With this new acquisition, ACG’s total 737 MAX order book has reached 121 aircraft. Of these, 50 consist of firm orders for the 737-10 model. As a result, ACG now holds the largest 737-10 order portfolio among aircraft leasing companies.
“A Strategic Investment in Fuel Efficiency and Growth”
Commenting on the agreement, ACG President and CEO Thomas Baker emphasised that the new order supports the company’s long-term growth strategy.
“This additional 737 MAX order enhances the strategic value of our order book and reinforces our commitment to the latest fuel-efficient aircraft technology. We are pleased to offer our global customers a stable 737 MAX delivery position between 2026 and 2033,” Baker said.
Baker also noted that the operational flexibility offered by both the 737-8 and 737-10 models provides a significant advantage for airlines operating in different markets.

Brad McMullen, Boeing Senior Vice President of Commercial Sales and Marketing, stated that ACG’s expansion of its 737-10 order clearly demonstrates the aircraft’s market appeal.
“This repeat order from ACG reflects strong confidence in the 737-10 and the value it delivers to customers worldwide. ACG continues to be a long-standing key partner in the 737 MAX programme,” McMullen said.
737 MAX: A Critical Asset for Leasing Companies
The 737 MAX family continues to be attractive to aircraft leasing companies thanks to its fuel efficiency, low operating costs and route flexibility on short- and medium-haul flights. To date, leasing companies have placed approximately 1,300 orders for the 737 MAX, accounting for around 20% of the programme’s total orders.
