Turkish Airlines Inc. (THY) made a significant credit rating announcement yesterday (July 26) through the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP). The international credit rating agency Moody’s has upgraded Turkish Airlines’ credit rating by two notches to Ba3. Moody’s also affirmed a “Positive” outlook for the rating.
According to Moody’s latest assessment, the credit rating of Turkish Airlines’ USD-denominated Equipment Trust Certificates issued in 2015 has been raised from B2 to Ba3. Additionally, the credit ratings for the JPY-denominated A and B type Equipment Trust Certificates have been upgraded from B1 to Ba2.
In its statement, Turkish Airlines attributed the credit rating upgrade to the company’s strong financial structure and successful business strategies. The airline aims to enhance its credibility among investors and financial markets with this rating increase.
