Pegasus Airlines is increasing frequencies on Copenhagen flights in the 2026 summer season. The number of services on the Istanbul, Antalya and Konya routes is being raised.
Pegasus Airlines has decided to increase frequencies on routes between Türkiye and Copenhagen in its 2026 summer season flight planning. Within the new plan, capacity increases will be made on flights departing from Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen, Antalya and Konya, while operations are planned to continue with an extended schedule until October.
The decision is considered part of the company’s growth strategy in the Northern European market and is seen as a response to increasing passenger demand, particularly on Denmark-linked routes.
Frequency increase on the Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen – Copenhagen route
On Copenhagen flights departing from Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport, weekly frequency is being increased from 14 to 16. This increase is planned to continue throughout the summer season, with operations maintained at this level until October.
This increase shows that the Istanbul–Copenhagen route has become one of Pegasus’ strategic destinations in its European network.
Summer season expansion on the Antalya route
A significant capacity increase is also being implemented on Copenhagen flights departing from Antalya. The number of weekly frequencies is being raised from 4 to 7.
This increase during the peak summer tourism season directly responds to strong demand from the European market for Antalya.
Surprising increase on the Copenhagen – Konya route
On the Copenhagen–Konya route, which is also frequently discussed on social media, a notable frequency increase has been planned. The route, currently operated with 2 weekly flights, will be increased to 5 frequencies under the new arrangement.
Stability maintained on the Ankara and Izmir routes
It has been stated that the current operational structure on Copenhagen connections from Ankara and Izmir will be maintained throughout the summer season. Flights on these routes will continue with one weekly frequency each.
Strategic expansion signals in the European network
This capacity increase centred on Copenhagen indicates that Pegasus is adopting a more balanced and regionally demand-driven growth model in its European point-to-point network strategy. In particular, frequency increases on routes with strong tourism and diaspora traffic show a focus on summer season revenue optimisation.
