CHP Deputy Chairman and Sivas MP Ulaş Karasu Highlights the Suffering Caused by Delays and Cancellations of AJet
CHP Deputy Chairman and Sivas MP Ulaş Karasu brought up the grievances caused by the delays and cancellations of AJet, a subsidiary of Turkish Airlines (THY), during a speech in the General Assembly of the Parliament. Karasu stated that citizens are facing significant hardships due to AJet’s delays and criticized company executives for not addressing these issues and only filling their own pockets.
In his speech, Karasu said, “What are the company executives doing? They are pocketing millions. The public is suffering, stranded on the roads, and these gentlemen couldn’t care less!”
Furthermore, Karasu criticized the renaming of AnadoluJet to AJet during his speech on the Draft Law on Amending the Turkish Civil Aviation Law and Some Laws and Decrees, saying, “First, you erased the name ‘Anadolu’ and made it ‘AJet’. No one understood why because you are enemies of Anatolia.”
Karasu detailed the struggles citizens are experiencing because of AJet: “Children, the elderly, people with funerals, patients, and those going to job interviews are all suffering because of AJet. Even your supporters are rebelling. There are people whose flights were canceled, having nervous breakdowns, and unable to find anyone to talk to for hours. Inside information indicates technical problems and pilot shortages.”
Karasu called on the authorities, saying, “Immediately appoint competent individuals to lead these companies. Put an end to the disgrace of the country’s most important brands and the suffering of our citizens.”
