Strategic Partnership Between Petrol Ofisi Group and Nakkaş Holding at Sabiha Gökçen
Petrol Ofisi Group has signed an agreement with Nakkaş Holding to establish a new jet fuel storage and refuelling facility at Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport. The joint venture company, PONAK, stands out as a critical infrastructure initiative to support the airport’s rapidly increasing flight and passenger traffic.
Sabiha Gökçen, Turkey’s second and one of Europe’s busiest airports, hosted over 240,000 flights and approximately 42 million passengers as of 2024. The new facility will contribute to faster, safer, and more competitive fuel supply and refuelling operations.
Petrol Ofisi Group CEO Mehmet Abbasoğlu stated regarding the agreement:
“Aviation is one of the critical areas for reliable energy supply and development. With our operations at 18 airports, we refuel nearly a quarter of a million flights annually. Through this strategic investment implemented at Turkey’s second-largest airport, we will provide long-term contributions to the sector.”
Nakkaş Holding Chairman of the Board Ramazan Öztürk said:
“This partnership with Petrol Ofisi Group, a leading institution in the sector, will further enhance reliability and quality standards in aviation. With PONAK, we will continue our jet fuel storage and sales operations not only domestically but also internationally.”
