Corendon Airlines Brought Nuremberg’s Culture and Flavours to Türkiye

Corendon Airlines and Albrecht Dürer Airport Nuremberg introduced Nuremberg’s culture and flavours in İzmir and Antalya through the “Taste of Nue” event.

Nuremberg’s rich history, culture, and gastronomy came together with travel enthusiasts in Türkiye through special events organised in collaboration between Corendon Airlines and Albrecht Dürer Airport Nuremberg.

As part of the partnership between Corendon Airlines and Albrecht Dürer Airport Nuremberg, special promotional events titled “Taste of Nue – Bavaria’s Sweet Side in Winter” were held in İzmir and Antalya. The event in İzmir took place on Wednesday, 1 October 2025, at Arkas Arcademia, while the Antalya event was held on Thursday, 2 October 2025, at Hotel Corendon Playa Kemer.

During the events, participants had the chance to discover many aspects of Nuremberg – from its history and gastronomy to its shopping and nostalgia. Thus, a sweet connection was established between Antalya and İzmir and Nuremberg.

One of the most delightful moments of the programme was a special workshop where guests experienced making Nuremberg’s famous gingerbread. Participants both learned the intricacies of the traditional recipe and baked their own cookies, becoming part of the warm atmosphere of the event.

Nuremberg is especially eye-catching during the winter months, with its enchanting atmosphere standing out particularly around Christmas. The world-famous Christkindlesmarkt Christmas market, the Christmas town of Rothenburg, and the festive spirit of the region make Nuremberg an attractive destination that welcomes thousands of tourists every year.

Nuremberg, which also draws great interest from Turkish tourists, has recently stood out with an increasing number of visitors from Türkiye. According to Albrecht Dürer Airport Nuremberg data, the number of Turkish visitors coming to Nuremberg for accommodation purposes increased by 43% in 2024 compared to the previous year.

The “Taste of Nue” events strengthened the ties between the two destinations by bringing Bavaria’s culture, history, and flavours closer to Turkish travel enthusiasts.
