AJet Updates Safety Rules Following DGCA Recommendation

Following the recommendation of the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), AJet has introduced new rules for carrying portable chargers and lithium batteries on aircraft. Powerbanks can now only be carried in cabin baggage.

AJet Introduces Changes to Powerbank and Lithium Battery Carrying Rules

In line with the recommendation from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), AJet has implemented new regulations regarding the carriage of portable chargers and lithium batteries on aircraft.

According to the new rules:

Portable chargers (powerbanks) with lithium batteries up to 100 Watt-hours (Wh), electronic cigarettes, and spare/external batteries can only be carried in cabin baggage. However, their use or operation during the flight is prohibited.

Lithium batteries between 100 and 160 Wh require prior approval from the airline.
Lithium batteries over 160 Wh cannot be carried in passenger baggage. These batteries may only be transported as cargo if certain safety conditions are met.
