Turkish Airlines is set to showcase its next-generation business class suites for business travelers at the Aircraft Interiors Expo in Hamburg.
Crystal Suites: A New Business Class Experience
Starting in early 2025, these new business class suites will be introduced across the Boeing 777 fleet and will also feature in the ultra-long-range Airbus A350-1000 jets. Developed under the codename Crystal, these exclusive suites will be marketed similarly to Cathay Pacific’s 777 Aria Suites.
Ahmet Bolat, Chairman of the Turkish Airlines Board, highlighted that the Crystal suites will feature high-tech comfort amenities and modern details such as sliding doors. These suites have been specially designed by Turkish Cabin Interior (TCI), a subsidiary of Turkish Airlines, and will be unique to the airline.
New Layout and Seat Configuration
The modern 1-2-1 layout will provide 44 business class seats on the Boeing 777, representing only a five-seat reduction compared to the current 2-3-2 layout, offering more comfort for passengers. Each 777 aircraft will undergo an upgrade process lasting approximately one week.
Fleet Future and Expansion Plans
Bolat mentioned that due to delays in new aircraft deliveries, the older 777s will continue to operate for the time being. Starting in 2026, the Crystal business class suites will be added to the Airbus A350-1000 aircraft, tailored for Turkish Airlines’ planned 17-hour non-stop flights to Australia. However, there are no plans to include these suites in the Airbus A350-900 or Boeing 787 fleets. Additionally, Bolat confirmed that they are satisfied with the current two-class configurations and have no plans to reintroduce Comfort Class premium economy.
Fast and Free WiFi
From 2025, Turkish Airlines plans to offer fast and free WiFi for all passengers, enhancing the in-flight internet experience.
