Turkey-based B2B tour operator Wtatil, which organizes outgoing tours from Turkey to the world, has become the official and sole representative of Oman-based airline company Salam Air, known for its modern and young fleet.
Founded in 2018 with the vision of contributing to the discovery and enrichment of world cultures as an outgoing tour operator, Wtatil has strengthened its position in the aviation industry by adding another partnership to its portfolio. Signing an agreement with Salam Air, Wtatil has become the official and sole representative of the Oman-based airline company in Turkey. The signing ceremony between the two brands took place at Swissotel Bosphorus with the participation of business partners, industry stakeholders, and media representatives. Musician Su Soley also performed a concert at the event.
As part of international cooperation in tourism and travel, the parties announced that they have agreed on a 10-fold increase in passenger numbers and revenue for Salam Air by 2024. Salam Air, Oman’s low-cost young airline, entered the airspace in 2017, serving various domestic and international routes from the capital, Muscat. It stands out with its modern and young fleet, consisting of a total of 14 aircraft, including 6 Airbus A320neo, 7 Airbus A321neo, and 1 Airbus A321. Operating primarily to various destinations in the Middle East and Asia, Salam Air made its first flight to Turkey in July 2019. Salam Air offers an alternative flight option to destinations such as Istanbul, Trabzon, Bangkok, Phuket, and Colombo, as well as many points in India and Asia, and countries like Germany and Albania for passengers looking for affordable travel.
Salam Air office has also been opened in Istanbul
With this collaboration, all Salam Air ticketing and programs from the Turkish market will now be handled through Wtatil. It was also agreed between the parties that there would be 7 flights per week from Istanbul and 2 flights per week from Trabzon, with plans to develop these flights further. Cihan Saray, Chairman of the Board of Wtatil, made the following statement regarding the collaboration with Salam Air: “We are very happy and excited about this agreement. We will introduce Salam Air to all agencies in Turkey through Wtatil. Salam Air will now be more visible both in individual tickets and tour packages. We have also opened our office for Salam Air in Şişli Esentepe; we are currently at the service of all agencies and guests. I would like to share one more good news; with this collaboration, Wtatil will also serve as Salam Air’s GSA in Albania, not only in Turkey.”
Cansu Varlık, Managing Partner of Wtatil, stated, “Today, we are experiencing the excitement of the collaboration initiated by two powerful brands. Salam Air holds an important position in the aviation sector with its innovative approach and quality service understanding. Wtatil, on the other hand, creates a difference in the industry by focusing on excellence in holiday experience and guest satisfaction. With this collaboration, we will offer our guests a more comprehensive and enjoyable travel experience by adding Wtatil’s flight packages to the routes served by Salam Air. We believe that together, we will further strengthen our leadership in the industry.”
Expressing his satisfaction with the collaboration with Wtatil, Mazin Al Salmani, Sales Director of Salam Air, said, “Our collaboration with Wtatil will strengthen our brand and allow us to access a wider network. Turkey is a very special and important destination for Salam Air. There is high demand for our flights from Turks as well. With the strength we gain from this collaboration, we aim to develop our flights by adding new routes, especially during the high summer season. We are happy to be in the Turkish market.”
