Turkish Airlines has introduced an important protocol that strengthens its social responsibility approach toward the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus. During a press conference held at Turkish Airlines Headquarters—with the attendance of TRNC President Mr Ersin Tatar and other distinguished ministers—a travel support protocol offering a 50% discount to martyrs’ families, veterans, and their first-degree relatives was officially introduced.

Turkish Airlines officials stated that this protocol reflects the company’s deep emotional ties with the TRNC, noting: “TRNC is not just a destination; it holds a very special place in our hearts.”
In the announcement, it was emphasised that Turkish Airlines has long served as a vital air bridge connecting the TRNC to the world through regular flights to Ercan Airport. It also contributes to tourism and the economy by increasing flight frequencies and adding new destinations.
Connecting Cyprus to the World with 200 Weekly Flights
Officials noted that, through Turkish Airlines and its subsidiaries, approximately 200 flights per week link the TRNC to both Turkey and the world. With the implementation of this protocol, these connections now carry even greater meaning. Martyrs’ families and veterans will benefit from more accessible and comfortable travel options between the two nations.
