Good news for travellers from Eastern Hungary: Wizz Air, one of Europe’s leading low-cost airlines, has announced that it will relaunch three popular routes from Debrecen International Airport in its 2026 summer schedule. After a brief pause, flights to Tel Aviv, Eindhoven, and Istanbul are restarting, offering passengers in the region more international connections for both holiday and business travel.
Istanbul, Eindhoven, and Tel Aviv Back on the Route Map
Wizz Air will resume its Tel Aviv flights as of 31 March 2026. The flights will operate three times a week—on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.
Flights to Eindhoven, one of the Netherlands’ key technology and innovation hubs, will return on 2 May 2026. This route will see two weekly flights, on Tuesdays and Saturdays.
Turkey’s megacity Istanbul will regain its place on Wizz Air’s Debrecen network as of June 2026. The airline plans three weekly flights on this route—on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
Increase in London Flights
The Mayor of Debrecen, László Papp, announced that Wizz Air will increase capacity on its London route. Accordingly, from 5 April 2026, the airline will increase its weekly London flights from three to four. According to Papp, this move will strengthen Debrecen’s position in international tourism and help attract more visitors to the region.
Expansion Plans for 2026: More Cyprus Flights
In its 2026 planning, Wizz Air will also strengthen its Cyprus flights following the winter season. The number of flights, previously two per week, will be increased to three per week during the April–October period.
