In the week of September 9-13, the BIST100 index closed with a 0.88% decline. However, Pegasus Airlines (PGSUS) shares significantly outperformed the index, rising by 7.92% to close the week at 245.20 TL.
Bank of America’s Purchases Played a Key Role
The strong performance of Pegasus shares was largely driven by Bank of America’s buying activity. Throughout the week, Bank of America conducted a total of 14,597,344 trades in PGSUS shares. Of these, 9,110,979 were purchases, while 5,486,365 were sales, leaving the bank with a net buy of 3,624,614 shares by the end of the week. The average purchase price was 234.362 TL, with the total value of net purchases amounting to 849,470,431 TL.
Prominent Sellers
On the selling side, IS Investment and TEB Investment were notable, selling 1,211,085 and 1,203,789 shares respectively.
