Violent Incidents on Airplanes Are Increasing! Passenger Causes Chaos by Biting Flight Attendant.

A flight from Miami to Newark had to make an emergency landing in Orlando due to a passenger’s aggressive behavior. During the United Airlines flight, a passenger bit a flight attendant, causing chaos.

Violent incidents on airplanes continue to rise. In early July, a similar incident occurred on a Ryanair flight from Morocco to London, forcing the plane to make an emergency landing in Marrakech.

IATA Report: 47% Increase

According to the International Air Transport Association (IATA) report, in 2022, a violent incident was reported for every 568 flights, compared to one for every 835 flights in 2021. This indicates a 47% increase in violent incidents.

Legal Measures and Blacklist Policies

Various legal measures are being taken against the rising number of violent incidents. The French government is preparing a decree that provides for administrative and criminal sanctions for passengers who exhibit disruptive behavior during flights. Additionally, some airlines are planning to implement a blacklist policy to prevent such passengers from boarding their planes.

Special Measures

Some airlines, like Ryanair, are implementing more targeted measures by banning the consumption of outside alcohol in the cabin.

Violence Against Flight Crews

On Tuesday, a United Airlines flight had to make an emergency landing in Orlando after a passenger bit a flight attendant on the shoulder and yelled and insulted the crew. Following the incident, police intervened and removed the passenger from the plane, which then took off again with a three-hour delay.

Danger Every Three Hours in Europe

According to the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), the safety of flights in the European Union is compromised every three hours due to passengers’ behavior.
