Ukrainian forces have increased Moscow’s total aircraft losses to 332 by successfully targeting a Russian bomber worth £40 million. Andrii Kovalyov, the military spokesperson for Kiev, confirmed that Vladimir Putin’s Su-34 bomber was shot down over the Luhansk region on Monday.
With the crash of the twin-engine Soviet aircraft, Moscow’s overall number of lost aircraft in the conflict has now reached 332. The condition of the crew on the aircraft remains unknown.
Ukrainian government advisor Anton Gerashchenko, in an online statement, remarked, “According to the General Staff, since the beginning of Russia’s extensive occupation of Ukraine, Moscow has lost a total of 332 aircraft. We express our gratitude to our heroes for their exceptional efforts.”
The Ukrainian Ministry of Defense added on social media, “Great job, warriors!”
Russia promptly contested this claim through the FighterBomber war channel on Telegram.
