UAE Collaboration on Titanium Parts for Leadership in Aviation

EDGE Group subsidiary EPI and Strata have extended their contract for the production of complex titanium parts for the Airbus A330 programme until 2030. The agreement, signed during Dubai Airshow 2025, strengthens the UAE’s domestic aerospace manufacturing capabilities.

EPI, an EDGE Group subsidiary and one of the UAE’s leaders in precision engineering for the aerospace, energy, and defence sectors, has expanded its partnership with Strata, the country’s advanced manufacturing leader owned by Mubadala Investment Company. The existing contract covering the production of complex titanium parts for Strata’s Airbus A330 programme has been extended until the end of 2030.

The contract was signed by EPI CEO Michael Deshaies and Strata Acting CEO Sara Al Memari during Dubai Airshow 2025, held from 17–21 November at Dubai World Central.

Comprehensive production support for titanium parts

The expanded agreement covers all machining and production operations for complex titanium spare parts required for Strata’s Aileron Single Source Assembly Line for the Airbus A330. Aligned with the “Make it in the Emirates” initiative, both parties aim to grow domestic manufacturing capacity and strengthen the UAE’s presence in the global aerospace supply chain.

“A sign of confidence in EPI”

EPI CEO Michael Deshaies said during the signing ceremony:

“The expansion of our long-standing partnership with Strata reflects the confidence placed in EPI. We produce precision titanium parts that meet the highest global aerospace standards. Together, we are strengthening the UAE’s position as a trusted partner in the international aerospace supply chain while advancing sovereign manufacturing capabilities aligned with EDGE’s long-term vision.”

“Demonstrates the UAE’s commitment to aerospace manufacturing”

Strata Acting CEO Sara Al Memari emphasised that the contract aligns with the country’s industrial goals, stating:

“This contract extension with EPI underscores the depth of our partnership and the UAE’s commitment to expanding its aerospace manufacturing capabilities. At Strata, we are proud to produce world-class components based on innovation, expertise, and excellence. Together with EPI, we are unlocking the potential of Emirati talent and further reinforcing the UAE’s position on the global aerospace stage.”

A new step in a strong partnership

This contract extension between EPI and Strata reinforces the long-standing strategic partnership between the two organisations. Under this collaboration, successful engineering and production projects have been delivered for leading programmes of many global aircraft manufacturers.
