Turkish Aerospace Industries (TUSAŞ) has taken another significant diplomatic step in line with its vision to strengthen international partnerships. TUSAŞ General Manager Dr Mehmet Demiroğlu hosted Lieutenant General Giovanni Blestri, Chief of Staff of the Italian Air Force, and his accompanying delegation at the company headquarters.
During the meeting, current areas of cooperation in aviation between Türkiye and Italy were discussed in detail, and extensive evaluations were carried out regarding potential joint projects that the two countries’ defence industries could undertake in the future. The parties exchanged views on technological development, operational needs and sectoral transformation perspectives.
The visit highlighted a strong mutual intent to work closely in critical fields such as engineering collaborations, joint platform development, R&D projects, training programmes and supply chain integration.
