ICAO, the highest authority setting international civil aviation standards, has rewarded Turkey’s performance in the field of training. The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (SHGM) has achieved a significant international success by being elevated to “Bronze Member” status within the ICAO TRAINAIR PLUS programme.

Training quality and sustainability officially recognised

The quality standards and sustainable approach of SHGM in aviation training have been officially recognised by ICAO. This status has also established Turkey as a rising actor in the global aviation ecosystem in terms of its training infrastructure.

Bronze membership indicates that the country meets the quality criteria set for participants in ICAO’s training network and possesses the capacity to produce international training.
