Turkish Airlines (THY) has announced that it has raised its on-time departure rate to 80.6%, thanks to a strategy focused on operational excellence and customer satisfaction.
THY General Manager Bilal Ekşi shared the company’s remarkable improvement in performance on his social media account, stating:
“We are taking off on time. In 2025, we increased our on-time departure rate by 6.6 points compared to the same period last year, reaching 80.6%. We take great pride in bringing you to your loved ones with safety, comfort and punctuality.”
Consistency in Operational Success
Despite the rapid rise in global air traffic after the pandemic, Turkish Airlines has maintained its operational discipline and achieved a steady upward trend in on-time performance.
From 74% in 2024, the 6.6-point increase recorded in 2025 has positioned THY among the leading global airlines in terms of punctuality.
Customer Satisfaction and Safety as Priorities
The improvement in THY’s on-time performance is regarded as a reflection of the company’s management approach, which balances passenger experience with safety priorities.
Through investments in digitalisation, fleet optimisation and maintenance planning within its flight scheduling processes, the airline aims to further enhance its on-time performance.
Global Target: Perfect Timing
Operating direct flights to 205 destinations worldwide, Turkish Airlines aims to achieve even higher on-time departure rates in 2025, striving for global standards in operational efficiency and passenger loyalty.
THY continues to take steady steps toward becoming a global brand that not only provides safe and comfortable travel but also delivers passengers to their destinations on time.
