According to Turkish Airlines’ March 2026 traffic data announced on the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP), the number of passengers increased by 16%, while the load factor rose to 83.6%. Increases were also recorded in flight, capacity, and cargo data.

Turkish Airlines (THY) announced its traffic results for the March 2026 period via the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP). According to the data disclosed, the company recorded increases in passenger numbers, capacity utilization, and cargo transportation.
Number of Destinations and Aircraft Increased
According to the data, the number of destinations increased from 353 in March 2025 to 358 in March 2026, representing a 1.4% increase.
The number of aircraft increased from 472 to 528, showing an 11.9% rise. Available seat kilometers (ASK) capacity also increased by 8.7%, reaching 22.8 billion.
Passenger Numbers Increased by 16%, Load Factor Rose
The total number of passengers carried by Turkish Airlines in March 2026 increased from 6.2 million to 7.2 million, marking a 16% rise.
The passenger load factor increased from 77.5% to 83.6%, rising by 6.1 percentage points. This increase indicates an improvement in capacity utilization.
The number of landings (passenger flights) increased by 6.4% to 44,743. In the same period, cargo and mail transportation increased by 8.8%, reaching 198.3 thousand tons.
Far East Led Regional Performance
In the March 2026 data, the highest increase by region was observed on the Far East route. In this region, available seat kilometers increased by 19.3%, while passenger numbers rose by 34.7%.
Increases were also recorded on European, African, and American routes, while the Middle East route experienced a 36.1% decrease in available capacity.
When examining load factors, the Far East route reached the highest level at 93.9%.
Strong Passenger Demand in Domestic Flights
On domestic routes, available seat kilometers increased by 9.7%, while passenger numbers rose by 20.7%. The load factor increased from 74.3% to 82.3%.
Increases in landing numbers and cargo transportation on domestic routes also stood out.
Growth Continued in the January–March 2026 Period
Growth in traffic data continued during the first quarter of 2026. Total passenger numbers increased by 12.7% to 21.3 million.
During the same period, the number of destinations rose to 358, and the fleet size increased to 528 aircraft. Available seat kilometers capacity increased by 9.4% to 66.7 billion.
The load factor rose from 80.5% to 83.5%, while cargo and mail transportation increased by 14.8% to 552.1 thousand tons.
Far East and Africa Stood Out in Regional Distribution
During the January–March period, strong growth was recorded on Far East and African routes. Passenger numbers increased by 24.4% in the Far East and 21% in Africa.
Double-digit growth was also observed in Europe and domestic routes, while the Middle East saw a slight decline.
The overall picture shows that Turkish Airlines continues to grow in both passenger and cargo transportation, with increasing capacity utilization rates.
