Turkish Airlines and UN World Tourism Organization Sign Memorandum of Understanding to Promote Sustainable Tourism

Turkish Airlines (THY) has signed a memorandum of understanding with the UN World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), the leading international public institution in tourism, to promote sustainable tourism. This collaboration aims to foster sustainable tourism practices and the development of aviation.

Public and Private Sector Collaboration

The memorandum focuses on expanding collaboration between the public and private sectors to support advancements in air connectivity in developing destinations. Both parties will leverage their expertise to exchange knowledge and work on topics such as sustainable aviation fuel.

Signing Ceremony

The signing ceremony was attended by Prof. Dr. Ahmet Bolat, Chairman of the Board and Executive Committee of Turkish Airlines, Ion Vilcu, Director of Affiliate Members at the UN World Tourism Organization, and Nüket Küçükel Ezberci, Turkish Ambassador to Spain.
