Turkish Airlines Airbus A330-300, registered as TC-JOK, performing flight TK-1876 from Milan Malpensa to Istanbul, experienced smoke coming from one of its engines (CF6) while taking off from Malpensa’s runway 35L.
The crew stopped the climb at 6000 feet and made a safe landing on runway 35R about 30 minutes after takeoff.
The flight was canceled.
Approximately 24 hours after the incident, the aircraft remained on the ground in Milan.
