King Charles Puts Queen Elizabeth II’s Luxury Helicopter and Personal Vehicles on the Market

King Charles of the United Kingdom has put up for sale the private Sikorsky helicopter and personal Range Rover used by his mother, Queen Elizabeth II, for 15 years. These historically significant vehicles offer a rare opportunity for collectors.

A Historic Sale from the Royal Family

King Charles has listed Queen Elizabeth II’s eight-seater red Sikorsky S-76C++ helicopter for sale. This iconic aircraft, used for official travel since 2009, is priced at £5 million (approximately 255 million Turkish lira).

Following Queen Elizabeth’s passing and his ascension to the throne, King Charles is expected to purchase an AgustaWestland AW139 jet from Italian aviation giant Leonardo, in partnership with Turkey’s leading defence company Baykar.

Helicopter Revealed in Detail for the First Time

With the sale listing, the helicopter’s luxurious interior has been revealed for the first time. Features include spacious grey leather seats matching the royal blue carpet, a wooden clock, tinted windows, a digital radio phone, and custom magazine racks.

AeroAsset, the company managing the aircraft sale, described it as:

“Registered as a ‘Head of State Aircraft’, it has served only one owner since its delivery.”

The aircraft reportedly has 5,222 flight hours and features ultra-suede and leather interior finishes. Queen Elizabeth last used it a few months before her passing, for a trip from Sandringham to Windsor.

Queen Elizabeth II’s Range Rover Also at Auction

Alongside the helicopter, a personal Range Rover from the Royal collection is also up for sale. The 2006 L322 model will go to auction on 23 August at the Silverstone Festival.

Notable features include:

  • A Labrador ornament carrying a grouse in its mouth,

  • Custom protective compartments designed for the Queen’s dogs,

  • Additional wiring systems for security,

  • Special grab handles mounted on the rear door, later removed.

The vehicle has clocked 119,938 miles and is being sold in “exemplary condition.” While its market value is estimated between £9,000 and £16,000, it is expected to fetch up to £70,000 at auction.

A previous Range Rover owned by the Queen sold for £132,750.
