TOMTAŞ Reaches 80% Production Capacity: Boosting National Projects
Established in the early years of the Republic as Türkiye’s first aircraft factory and relaunched in 2023, TOMTAŞ Aviation and Technology Inc. continues its contributions to the national aviation and defence industry without slowing down. With its production facilities reaching 80% capacity, the company manufactures detailed parts for strategic projects such as HÜRJET, HÜRKUŞ, KAAN, GÖKBEY, ATAK, and ANKA.
Recently hosting Kayseri Governor Gökmen Çiçek, Sivas Governor Yılmaz Şimşek, Yozgat Governor Mehmet Ali Özkan, and the ORAN Development Agency delegation, TOMTAŞ also served as a platform for the development vision of the Central Anatolia Region. With over 200 employees, the facility has become a strategic production hub not only for Kayseri but for the entire region, expanding its active role in national projects day by day.
TOMTAŞ Board Member Ferhat Çakır made the following statement after the visit:
“Our Governors of Kayseri, Sivas, and Yozgat visited our current detailed parts production facility and the HÜRJET component-level assembly facilities that are nearing completion. They expressed their satisfaction with the level we have achieved as a young, two-year-old company with a historical legacy, located in the heart of Central Anatolia.
Shortly after the earthquake, we set up our first machine, and on 29 October we issued our first invoice. Today, our detailed parts production facility, equipped with over 30 machines, has reached 80% capacity. By the end of the year, with the completion of the remaining machinery, we will achieve our targeted performance.”
Emphasising that the visit provided significant motivation for the development of defence and aviation technologies in the region, Çakır added:
“With our technological expertise and capacity to produce high-tech products, we will continue to serve our country.”
