Turkey’s efforts in domestic production within the defense industry continue at full speed. In this context, TEI has taken a critical step for the Turkish aviation sector by successfully producing Turkey’s first national turbodiesel aviation engine, the TEI-PD170 model. The engine reached a significant milestone by completing its 100th test flight together with the Aksungur UAV.
With 520 hours of flight time, the TEI-PD170 not only strengthens Turkey’s defense capabilities but also holds promise for integration into various aviation platforms in the future. In a statement by TEI, it was emphasized that this national engine will continue to enhance Turkey’s power in the skies.
