Dubai is preparing to host a significant event that will shape the future of the aviation industry. Organized in collaboration with Emirates Airlines and the Museum of the Future, the first-ever Future of Aviation Week will be held from October 15-17, 2024. This prestigious event will bring together global industry leaders and technology experts.
UAE ministers, government officials, and key figures from aviation, aerospace, air transport, maintenance and repair (MRO), and the logistics ecosystem will gather in Dubai throughout the event. Discussions will focus on how emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI) and extended reality (XR) can be applied in the aviation industry, making these topics the event’s key highlights.
Dubai Leading the Future of the Industry
Speaking about the event, Emirates Airline and Group Chairman Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum emphasized Dubai’s strategic vision for technology and innovation: “Dubai will host leaders from the aviation and aerospace sectors at the Future of Aviation Week. This event will be a hub for global collaborations and discussions that will shape the future of the industry. With the technological and digital revolution, passenger experiences and operations will become more sustainable and efficient.”
AI and XR Technologies Take Center Stage
The three-day event will feature presentations, panels, and workshops. On the first day, discussions will focus on airline travel demand, airport infrastructure, and how airlines can leverage technology to improve the passenger experience.
The second day will address technological advancements in air transport and logistics, along with innovations in the regional maintenance and repair (MRO) ecosystem. On the final day, the impact of AI, Web3, and extended reality solutions on aviation operations will be explored. Strategies for adapting the aviation workforce to these new technologies will also be detailed.
A Rich Experience for Attendees
In addition to the main program, a large exhibition platform will showcase the latest innovations in aviation technology. Visitors will be able to learn about new products and concepts in the aviation sector and have one-on-one meetings with industry representatives.
Interactive workshops supported by Emirates CX teams, dnata, Emirates SkyCargo, Flight Operations, Boeing, and the Emirates Group Youth Council will also take place. These workshops will offer participants hands-on experiences on how technology is transforming the aviation industry.
