Flight Cancellation from Gazipaşa Airport Leaves Passengers Stranded: “Something’s Going On, But We Can’t Make Sense of It”
An AJET Airlines flight, scheduled to depart from Alanya Gazipaşa Airport to Ankara at 5:00 AM yesterday, was canceled citing adverse weather conditions. After the announcement, passengers waiting for the flight were redirected to Antalya Airport by bus.
However, passengers became frustrated when they noticed other flights departing smoothly from Gazipaşa Airport at the same time. Some argued that the weather wasn’t severe enough to prevent the flight, stating, “There isn’t even a breeze here, but our flight is canceled, and we’re being sent to Antalya by bus. Meanwhile, other flights are continuing as scheduled.”
Passengers voiced their complaints, speculating that there might be other reasons behind the cancellation: “We think the flight was canceled due to insufficient passengers. Now, we’ll fly from Antalya to Ankara at 9:00 AM, but we won’t reach Ankara until 10:30 AM. We’re facing significant hardship,” they remarked.
The incident caused a stir both at the airport and on social media. While no official statement has been made by AJET Airlines yet, passengers are eagerly waiting to see how their grievances will be addressed.
