The severe weather and approaching storm in Tirana led to extraordinary air traffic at “Mother Teresa” International Airport. Within a short period, seven planes landed consecutively, creating a rare sight at the airport.

Officials stated that the heavy traffic was managed smoothly within safety protocols, although some aircraft experienced difficulties during landing. In particular, a LOT Air flight was reported to have been unable to land due to strong winds, despite the pilot’s manoeuvres, and had to be redirected.
