Ongoing renovation works at Terminal 1 will enable it to serve approximately 4 million passengers. In this way, the annual passenger capacity of the first terminal (T1) and the existing terminal (T2) will reach a total of 47 million.

As part of the renovation and reinforcement works at Terminal 1, a holistic parking project will help ease the traffic load around the airport. The car park in front of Terminal 2 will be expanded from a capacity of 4,517 to 5,543 vehicles. The Terminal 1 car park will be expanded from 607 to 1,029 spaces. This will increase the airport’s total car park capacity to 6,752 vehicles.

With works continuing 24/7, the Terminal 2 – Terminal 1 Integration Project will enable Sabiha Gökçen International Airport to offer its passengers faster, stronger, and more comfortable service.
