Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen International Airport (SAW) has been awarded in the “Best Machine Learning Projects of the Year” category for its digital transformation project, SAW SMART.

Artificial Intelligence for Efficient and Smart Operations

Developed to enhance capacity management in response to growing passenger demand, the SAW SMART programme lies at the heart of Sabiha Gökçen’s digital transformation journey.

Within the scope of the programme:

  • Passenger tracking system,
  • Digital twin technology,
  • Ticket validation turnstiles,
  • IoT-based predictive maintenance systems,
  • Innovative solutions such as e-Translator

have been implemented, making terminal operations smarter, faster, and more efficient.
