Regent Redesigns Explorer Class Ships With Bigger Suites

Ultra-luxury line Regent Seven Seas Cruises has announced plans to redesign select accommodations aboard its Explorer Class ships, adding larger suites, a new suite category and fewer guestrooms overall to create additional space onboard. Following dry docks planned for 2027 and 2028, Seven Seas Explorer, Seven Seas Splendor and Seven Seas Grandeur will each sail with a maximum of 344 suites, down from 373, removing 29 suites per ship.

The line is expanding its Veranda Suites into the largest entry-level suites in the ultra-luxury segment, joining the Deluxe Veranda Suites aboard Regent’s Prestige Class ships. Every redesigned Veranda Suite will include a walk-in closet, double vanity and a private balcony, growing from 307 sq. ft. to between 415 and 464 sq. ft.

By reducing suite inventory, expanding accommodations and introducing new suite categories, we are creating an even more spacious experience at sea while strengthening the exceptional service that defines Regent.”

Regent Continues to Raise the Bar

New Horizon Penthouse Suites, debuting first aboard Seven Seas Prestige, will join the Explorer Class lineup as well. Ranging from 616 to 722 sq. ft., the suites include oversized balconies along with a separate bedroom, full bath and a living area.

Each ship will also add three Distinctive Suites measuring 821 to 918 sq. ft., each with a king-size Elite Slumber bed, a sitting and dining area, one-and-a-half marble-and-stone bathrooms and a large private balcony. Named the Explorer Suite, Splendor Suite and Grandeur Suite respectively, the accommodations come with fresh orchid arrangements, cashmere blankets, in-suite caviar service, a choice of pillow styles and a personal butler.

Accommodation upgrades begin with Seven Seas Splendor, which enters dry dock in November 2027. Seven Seas Explorer follows in April 2028, and Seven Seas Grandeur enters dry dock that October.
