Turkey’s high-tech defence and aviation products have reached a peak in exports.
President of Defence Industries Haluk Görgün shared the July 2025 export data with the public via the NeXT Social platform. According to Görgün, the industry recorded $989.6 million in exports in July, reflecting a 128.4% increase over the same period last year.
Over $4.6 Billion in the First Seven Months
Touching on the January–July 2025 data, Görgün stated that total exports for the seven-month period increased by 38.6%, reaching $4.591 billion. He emphasised that this success highlights Turkey’s competitiveness on the global defence stage, its engineering capabilities, and its high-tech production capacity.
Strategic Export Policies Show Their Impact
It was noted that product diversity, platform-based system integrations, and strategic export policies were key drivers behind sectoral growth. Görgün remarked, “Our sustainable and target-oriented export strategies have enabled us to reach historic levels in defence industry exports.”
“We Move Forward with High Localisation Solutions”
Görgün also noted that the domestic and national solutions developed under the leadership of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan have found strong traction in the global market. He emphasised the critical role played by the entire ecosystem—from main contractors to SMEs—and expressed his gratitude to all companies and employees contributing to this export mobilisation.
