Pegasus Airlines celebrated the 20th anniversary of the connection it established in the skies with the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) with a meaningful event held in Nicosia. The organisation is one of the most important gateways through which Pegasus connects the TRNC to the world in air transportation.
The event held in Nicosia was attended by TRNC President Tufan Erhürman, the TRNC protocol, Pegasus Airlines Chairman of the Board Mehmet Tevfik Nane, Pegasus CEO Güliz Öztürk, Pegasus TRNC Representative Zeki Ziya, Pegasus executives, leading representatives of the business world and many invited guests.

At the event, the contributions Pegasus Airlines has made over 20 years to the TRNC’s tourism, trade and social life were shared. Pegasus officials stated that the TRNC’s international connections have been strengthened thanks to its low-cost and accessible flight model.
As of 2025, Pegasus Airlines reached a 57 percent market share based on capacity at Ercan Airport, maintaining its leadership in TRNC air transportation. Over the past 20 years, it has carried 28 million guests to Northern Cyprus.
