The WoCE “Strengthening European Aviation Competitiveness Beyond the EU” panel held in Brussels hosted the sharing of important views on the future of European aviation. Speaking at the panel, Pegasus Airlines Chairman of the Board Mehmet T. Nane shared his assessments on the development and competitiveness of the sector with the participants.

In his speech, Nane underlined Pegasus Airlines’ young fleet, digitalisation-focused investments, and sustainability strategies, emphasising that these areas play a decisive role in the transformation of the aviation sector. Highlighting the critical importance of full cooperation and alignment between countries to strengthen the European aviation ecosystem, Nane stated that inclusive policies would make significant contributions to regional competitiveness.
Mehmet T. Nane also stated that in order for Europe to maintain its place in the global aviation arena in the future, strategies based on innovation, efficiency, and sustainability must be supported more strongly.
