The Gulfstream 450 private jet flying from Atatürk Airport to Geneva returned safely after circling over the Sea of Marmara due to a technical malfunction.

The TC-EDH-registered Gulfstream 450 private jet, which took off from Atatürk Airport for a flight to Geneva, made a safe landing after circling over the Sea of Marmara for approximately two hours due to a technical malfunction experienced after take-off.

The TC-EDH-registered Gulfstream 450 private jet, which departed from Atatürk Airport bound for Geneva, Switzerland, encountered a technical malfunction shortly after take-off. Upon recognising the situation, the flight crew decided to return in line with aviation procedures.

It was learned that the aircraft carried out a holding pattern over the Sea of Marmara for approximately two hours in order to reach a safe landing weight. During this time, no adverse situation occurred for the passengers or crew on board.

After all necessary checks were completed, the private jet landed at Atatürk Airport without any problems. Authorities stated that the landing was carried out in full compliance with all safety rules.

Investigation Launched

It was stated that an investigation process regarding the technical malfunction has been initiated by the authorised units and that the process is being conducted within the framework of standard aviation rules and safety procedures.
