FlyArystan Airlines operated its first flight between Kazakhstan and Gazipaşa-Alanya Airport. Alanya District Governor Şakir Öner Öztürk and many protocol members attended the welcoming ceremony.
Gazipaşa-Alanya Airport hosted another new connection in air transportation between Kazakhstan and Türkiye. Kazakhstan-based airline FlyArystan operated its first flight on the Kazakhstan–Gazipaşa-Alanya route, while a welcoming ceremony was organized at the airport for the inaugural flight.
In addition to Alanya District Governor Şakir Öner Öztürk, the ceremony was attended by Kazakhstan Consul General in Antalya Kuat Kanafeev, Honorary Consul of Kazakhstan in Alanya Ahmet Cebeci, Alanya Deputy Mayor Nazmi Zavlak, Gazipaşa Police Chief Mehmet Ali Kayhan, Gazipaşa Gendarmerie Commander Lieutenant Onur Yetim, and Airport Director Ali Özgür Pehlivan.
A Strategic Step for Tourism and Regional Transportation
The new flight route is considered an important development, especially for tourism mobility in Alanya and the surrounding region. The growing tourist traffic from the Central Asian market in recent years has increased the international connectivity capacity of alternative airports in the Antalya region.
The strengthening of Gazipaşa-Alanya Airport with new international routes also contributes to the region’s tourism goals extending throughout the year, not only during the summer season. Kazakhstan becoming one of the rising markets for Turkish tourism further increases the importance of such direct flights.

Speaking at the ceremony, District Governor Şakir Öner Öztürk stated that they were pleased with the development of air transportation between Türkiye and Kazakhstan and expressed his hope that the flights would continue to increase. Öztürk also shared his wishes for the flights to continue safely and smoothly without any incidents.
Expansion Works at the Airport Reviewed
Following the program, Governor Öztürk inspected the UAV hangar belonging to the General Directorate of Forestry and the ongoing capacity expansion works at the airport. Receiving information from the authorities, Öztürk evaluated the latest status of the ongoing projects.
With the completion of the ongoing expansion investments at Gazipaşa-Alanya Airport, it is aimed to further increase passenger capacity and operational capabilities.
