flydubai Receives 12 New Aircraft for Its Fleet in 2025

UAE-based low-cost carrier flydubai is accelerating its growth strategy in 2025. The airline expanded its fleet to 93 aircraft after taking delivery of seven new Boeing 737 MAX 8 planes between April and August. With five more deliveries expected by year-end, the fleet will reach 95 aircraft.

Ghaith Al Ghaith, CEO of flydubai, said the deliveries are part of the company’s long-term vision:

“The addition of new aircraft to our fleet reflects our confidence in the future of air travel and our strategic vision. Our fleet investments allow us to offer passengers more options, enhanced comfort, and better connectivity. Even though we will receive all 12 aircraft this year, we are about 20 planes behind our initial forecasts. These deliveries help make up for delays experienced in previous years.”

The financing for the new aircraft was arranged through:

  • Islamic financing via Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB),

  • Conventional debt financing through Ras Al Khaimah National Bank (RAKBANK),

  • Sale and leaseback agreements with JP Lease Products & Services Co., Ltd (JLPS) and JLPS Ireland Limited.

With these new additions, flydubai aims to expand its flight network, improve operational efficiency, and increase capacity on existing routes.
