A shocking incident on a flight from Israel to Rhodes has reignited concerns about aviation safety. A 23-year-old Israeli tourist attacked four passengers by biting them mid-flight, causing panic on board and prompting an emergency landing. The assailant was arrested after the incident, while passengers were left traumatised.

The incident occurred during a flight from Israel to the Greek tourist island of Rhodes. According to reports, the young tourist became involved in an unexplained argument with a passenger seated in front of him. When cabin crew and other passengers attempted to intervene, the man lost control and became violent.
Suddenly turning aggressive, the tourist bit four passengers, causing them physical harm. He also attempted to bite other passengers and crew members. Panic quickly spread through the cabin, and it was reported that passengers had to work together to subdue the attacker with difficulty.
Emergency Landing: Attacker Taken into Custody
Due to the escalating situation, the pilot assessed that passenger safety could no longer be ensured and decided to make an emergency landing. The aircraft landed at Rhodes Diagoras International Airport, where Greek police were waiting to arrest the attacker. Court Ruling: 22 Months in Prison and Fine
Following the incident, the tourist was brought before a court in Rhodes. The Rhodes Magistrate’s Court sentenced the 23-year-old Israeli national to 22 months in prison and a fine of €8,000. The defendant was taken into custody and sent to prison.
