Aircraft Crashes into the Sea
A small aircraft crash in Roebuck Bay, located off the coast of Broome in Western Australia, caused panic. The accident occurred at around 11:25 on Thursday, March 19 local time, with reports indicating that the aircraft crashed into waters densely populated by crocodiles.
7 Rescued, 1 Injured
Authorities stated that there were two pilots and five passengers on board. A male passenger in his 40s sustained minor injuries and was taken to hospital. It was reported that the other passengers were checked at the scene and did not suffer serious injuries.
Police, ambulances, marine rescue teams, and firefighters were quickly dispatched to the scene. During the rescue operation, one person was seen being airlifted to a safe area by helicopter.
Area Known for Crocodile Danger
The fact that Roebuck Bay, where the accident occurred, is full of saltwater crocodiles increased the level of risk. Despite this, the passengers were rescued in a short time, preventing a possible tragedy.
Investigation Launched into the Accident
The Australian Transport Safety Bureau has launched a comprehensive investigation into the accident. Initial findings revealed that the crashed aircraft was a Cessna 441 Conquest twin turboprop.

Witness: “It Disappeared While Descending”
One of the witnesses, Alex MacNamara, stated that the aircraft was flying at low altitude before the crash, saying, “After a while, it made a sharp turn and disappeared from sight.”
