Bombardier Global 8000 Becomes the World’s Fastest Business Jet with Mach 0.95 Speed Record

Bombardier announced that the Global 8000 business jet is the world’s fastest private jet, reaching Mach 0.95. With ultra-long range and superior comfort, it ushers in a new era in business aviation.

Bombardier announced at the 2025 NBAA Business Aviation Convention in Las Vegas that the Global 8000 business jet has reached a top speed of Mach 0.95. This achievement makes the Global 8000 the world’s fastest and most advanced private jet, ushering in a new era for ultra-long-range business jets.

Global 8000: A New Benchmark for Speed, Comfort, and Range in Business Aviation

Canadian aircraft manufacturer Bombardier has achieved a groundbreaking milestone in private aviation. The company announced that its Global 8000 model has earned the title of the fastest business jet in active service worldwide, reaching a speed of Mach 0.95.

The record was revealed at the 2025 NBAA Business Aviation Convention and Exhibition in Las Vegas. Bombardier President and CEO Éric Martel stated, “This achievement reflects the extraordinary dedication of our engineering and production teams. The Global 8000 represents a new standard in business aviation by combining performance and comfort.”

Next-Generation Aerodynamic Design

The Global 8000 stands out not only in speed but also in efficiency and operational flexibility.

Thanks to a redesigned advanced wing configuration and bespoke winglets, the aircraft can access approximately 30% more airports compared to other jets in its class.

This capability allows the Global 8000 to take off and land on shorter runways. Bombardier engineers also note that the aircraft delivers an exceptionally smooth flight experience, thanks to its quieter cabin design and optimized balance.

8,000+ Nautical Mile Range: Intercontinental Luxury Travel

The Global 8000 has the range to fly non-stop on intercontinental routes such as Los Angeles–Singapore and New York–Dubai.

This eliminates the need for refueling on long-range business trips, providing executives with both time savings and uninterrupted comfort.

Bombardier designed the Global 8000 for corporate executives, government leaders, and VIP passengers. Its combination of high speed and long range once again demonstrates the brand’s technological innovation prowess.

Premium Comfort in the Cabin

The cabin design of the Global 8000 blends luxury and ergonomics.

  • Four separate living areas
  • Full-size kitchen
  • Dedicated crew rest area

…along with one of the industry’s lowest cabin altitudes.

Noise-cancellation systems, advanced air filtration technology, and high-speed connectivity infrastructure ensure a quiet, healthy, and productive environment on long-haul flights.

Bombardier states that this design establishes a new standard that “combines office and home comfort in the air.”

Global Footprint and Manufacturing Network

More than 5,100 Bombardier aircraft are currently in active service worldwide.

The company’s production centers are located in Canada, the U.S., and Mexico, while ten maintenance facilities across six countries ensure that the fleet remains fully operational.

In 2024, Bombardier won the “Red Dot: Best of the Best” design award, reinforcing its leadership in innovation, aesthetics, and engineering.

Comlux Becomes Launch Customer for the Global 8000

Bombardier announced that Comlux Aviation is the launch customer for the Global 8000.

The jet, scheduled for delivery in 2026, will be used in Comlux’s Zurich- and Indianapolis-based operations.

Comlux CEO Andrea Zanetto said, “The Global 8000 perfectly aligns with our performance and luxury standards. This aircraft will mark the beginning of a new era for our charter operations.”

Bombardier CEO Éric Martel added, “The Global 8000’s exceptional cabin quality and speed will be a perfect addition to the Comlux fleet.”

The Future of Private Aviation

The Global 8000 is not just an aircraft; it is an engineering achievement representing the future of private aviation.

With this model, Bombardier sets a new benchmark in business aviation by combining speed, range, and elegance in a single airframe.
