Bomb Claim on Flight to the UK: Russia Under Suspicion

There are allegations that Russia placed a bomb on a plane heading to the UK, and that the package caused a fire at a DHL depot in Birmingham. Counter-terrorism teams are investigating possible links between the fire and Moscow. The incident occurred on July 22, and no one was injured.

The package is believed to have reached the UK by air, but it is still unclear whether it was from a cargo or passenger flight. Authorities have indicated that if the fire had broken out during the flight, it could have resulted in a serious disaster.

A similar incident occurred in Germany at the end of July. A suspicious package ignited at a DHL facility in Leipzig, and German officials are investigating possible connections between the two incidents. The head of Germany’s domestic intelligence agency emphasized that the package fire in Leipzig could have caused a major accident had it occurred during the flight.

British investigators suspect that these incidents may be part of a sabotage campaign conducted by Russia across Europe. MI5 stated that the Russian GRU military intelligence is continuously engaged in activities aimed at creating chaos in the UK and Europe. As the investigation continues, no arrests have been made in connection with the incident so far.
