Boeing Sets August 2025 Delivery Record with 57 Jets, Highest Since 2018

U.S. aircraft manufacturer Boeing delivered 57 jets in August, surpassing July’s 48 deliveries. This marks the highest number of August deliveries since 2018.

Boeing’s Delivery Numbers Rise

Boeing (BA.N) announced that it has delivered a total of 385 jets in 2025 as of August 31. This already exceeds the 348 aircraft planned for the entire year of 2024.

Last year’s deliveries were partially disrupted by a seven-week strike by unionised workers in the Seattle area, but this strike had not yet begun in August 2025.

Comparison with Airbus Deliveries

European rival Airbus (AIR.PA) delivered 61 jets in August, bringing its year-to-date total to 434 aircraft. Boeing’s deliveries focused mainly on the 737 MAX and widebody passenger jets.

Delivery Details

Among the aircraft Boeing delivered in August were:

• 737 MAX: 42 units (including Ryanair and United Airlines)

• Widebody aircraft: 9 × 787 Dreamliner, 4 × 777, 1 × 767

Chinese carriers also received 6 × 737 MAX and 2 × 787-9 in August.

Orders and Backlog

Boeing recorded 26 gross orders in August, including 14 × 777-9 from Cathay Pacific. Additionally, it received 5 × 737 MAX and 7 × 787 Dreamliner orders, while 2 × 737 MAX orders were cancelled.

By August 2025, Boeing had recorded a total of 725 gross orders. After cancellations and conversions, the official order backlog reached 5,994 aircraft.
