A plane that landed at Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport yesterday afternoon caused a brief disruption in air traffic due to a bird strike.
After the incident during landing, the pilot contacted air traffic control and reported that the plane might have collided with a bird. As a safety measure, the runway was temporarily closed for bird control. During this period, some planes had to circle in the air.
After the checks were completed, the runway was reopened for flight traffic, and the incident was also reflected in the radio communications.
