Patient Transport Plane Crashed in Arizona: 4 People Lost Their Lives

A small plane carrying out a medical transport mission crashed during landing in the U.S. state of Arizona. Four people—two pilots and two medical personnel—lost their lives in the accident.

A small aircraft conducting a medical transport operation has tragically crashed in the U.S. state of Arizona, killing all four people on board.

The crash occurred around midday local time near the Chinle area in Arizona. The Navajo Nation Police, representing the local Indigenous community, made the first public statement via social media. The statement confirmed that the accident happened during the landing phase of a medical transfer flight.

The aircraft had arrived in the area to pick up a patient in need of urgent medical care and crashed during the return flight.

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) confirmed that two pilots and two medical personnel were aboard the plane. There were no survivors.

The U.S. National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) has launched an investigation into the incident. In a statement, the NTSB reported that the aircraft involved was a Beechcraft model and that technical examinations are ongoing.
