Another Step Towards a Younger Fleet

One of the rising players in Turkish aviation, AJet continues its strategy of strengthening its fleet with modern and environmentally friendly aircraft. The airline’s fourth factory-fresh Boeing 737-8 MAX has been delivered to Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport. Registered as TC-OHC, the aircraft landed in Istanbul after a nearly 12-hour transatlantic flight from the US and was taken into the maintenance hangar.

The new-generation aircraft will begin passenger operations on scheduled flights once its cabin interior and seat installations are completed.

AJet’s 2025 Goal: A Younger, More Efficient Fleet

AJet aims to modernise its fleet by 2025 and offer passengers a more contemporary travel experience. In August, the airline welcomed three new factory-fresh Boeing 737-8 MAX aircraft.

  • TC-OHA

  • TC-OHB

  • TC-OHD

These aircraft entered scheduled service shortly after their cabin installations and certification processes were finalised. The airline plans to add nearly 10 factory-fresh Boeing 737-8 MAX aircraft to its fleet by the end of the year, accelerating its growth momentum.

Advantages of the Boeing 737-8 MAX

The new-generation Boeing 737-8 MAX offers several advantages for both airlines and passengers:

  • Fuel efficiency: Up to 14% fuel savings compared to previous-generation aircraft.

  • Lower carbon emissions: Eco-friendly engine technology supports sustainable aviation goals.

  • Passenger comfort: Spacious cabin design, quiet engines, and modern seating for a more comfortable journey.

  • Extended range: Greater flexibility for regional and medium-haul routes.

By choosing these aircraft, AJet benefits from reduced operational costs while advancing its sustainability vision.

New Strength for Sabiha Gökçen

AJet’s newest aircraft has been based at Istanbul’s second-largest aviation hub, Sabiha Gökçen Airport. This allows the airline to increase capacity, particularly on high-demand domestic and short-haul international routes.

As one of Turkey’s busiest airports, Sabiha Gökçen is central to AJet’s goal of enhancing competitiveness with its modern fleet.

More MAX Aircraft Coming by Year-End

Within just four months, AJet has added four new aircraft to its fleet. By the end of the year, the airline plans to double this number, receiving close to 10 brand-new Boeing 737-8 MAX jets.

With the new additions, the company expects to expand its route network, offer more destination choices to passengers, and optimise operational costs.

With the delivery of modern Boeing 737-8 MAX and Airbus A320/A321neo aircraft, the airline is preparing to offer a more comfortable and eco-friendly experience in the skies.

Fleet Expansion: Boeing 737-8 MAX Deliveries Begin

In August 2025, AJet received three factory-fresh Boeing 737-8 MAX aircraft. Aircraft registered as TC-OHA and TC-OHB arrived at Sabiha Gökçen Airport, while TC-OHC and TC-OHD also joined the fleet shortly thereafter.

The airline had already added an Airbus A320neo to its fleet in 2023. Furthermore, agreements made at the 2023 Paris Air Show secured the lease of 14 Airbus A321neo aircraft. With these deliveries, AJet’s young fleet will grow even stronger in the next two years.
