Türkiye’s youngest airline, AJet, is adding a new destination to its Balkans network. As of March 2026, AJet will begin direct flights to Tirana, the capital of Albania, from Istanbul and Ankara.
Kerem Sarp: We are closing out 2025 with the announcement of our new route
AJet CEO Kerem Sarp announced the launch of the Tirana flights on his social media account. Kerem Sarp said, “Throughout 2025, we experienced the excitement of sharing dozens of new route launches with you. Now, we are preparing to close out this special year with the announcement of yet another new route. Our flights to Tirana, the capital of Albania, will start as of 2 March from Istanbul and 5 March from Ankara. I wish it to be auspicious. As AJet, in 2025 we experienced the happiness of accompanying the journeys of millions of our guests and spreading our wings together towards many new stories.
In 2026 as well, together with your loved ones, we hope to meet in brand new stories filled with health, happiness and success,” he said.
Rapidly expanding its international flight network, AJet’s new route is the Balkan city of Tirana, which stands out with its historical texture reflecting traces of Ottoman and Italian architecture, as well as its natural beauty. As of 2 March 2026, AJet will operate flights from Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport to Tirana International Airport five days a week, and as of 5 March 2026, from Ankara Esenboğa Airport two days a week.
Tirana flights will operate from Istanbul on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays, and from Ankara on Thursdays and Saturdays. Offering its guests the opportunity to travel at accessible prices, AJet has also set its fare structure for the Tirana flights. Istanbul–Tirana tickets are on sale starting from USD 35, while Ankara–Tirana tickets start from USD 45.
